Sarah Armstrong (Chairman of the Board) has a career that includes decades of work in non-profits, foundations, humanitarian organizations and international development. She established A Brighter Tomorrow for Africa Foundation (BTA) to be there for women and children in Sierra Leone through the financial support of small, community-based organizations. Sarah is the recipient of the Humanitarian Leadership Award, awarded by the National Organization of Sierra Leoneans of North America. She has travelled extensively around the world, particularly in Africa and has two beautiful sons who inspire her every day. She lives in the Washington, DC area.
Doctor/Reverend Patrick George (President) has a Doctorate in Ministry from Brendan University as well as a Doctorate in Christian Education from Triune Biblical University. He has two Master degrees – one in Christian Education from WOHPRAG Biblical University - Lagos state, Federal Republic of Nigeria and another in Missiology also from WOHPRAG Biblical University. He is currently the Principal, Pentecostal International Christin Collet of Management and Administration (now The Royal College of Theology and Administration) where he also served as Lecturer & Dean of undergraduate studies. He is also serving as National Coordinator of the Heart Land Apostolic Network, USA and was the Deputy Country Director of the Children of the Nations/Sierra Leone. He lives in Freetown.
Richard Spees (Treasurer) is an attorney with over 30 years' experience representing educational and international organizations. He is the general counsel of the Hollings Center for International Dialogue and also General Counsel of the Council of American Overseas Research Centers. Before entering private practice, he served in various positions in the US Senate, including as the Staff Director of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on the Departments of State, Justice and Commerce. In that capacity, he had jurisdiction over the budget of the US State Department. He lives in the DC area.
Selina Tabitha Beola Ade-Williams (Board Member) attended the Albert Academy, Fourah Bay College/The University of Sierra Leone for her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Exeter University in the UK, for her Master’s Degree at the Institute of Population Studies. She also holds a number of certificates including Leadership Training and Advances in Family Health Communication both from John Hopkins University Baltimore, USA. She has also participated in a number of international conferences on gender, peace building, Family Planning and Sexual & Reproductive Health. She lives in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
